Mother's Caretaker My mother has dementia and I’m one of her caregivers. I have seen her Companion’s effect on my mother. Since my mother is a more isolated type, her service has really benefited my mother. She was able to open up and engage in conversation which is most often not the case. Her Companion was attentive, kind, looked my mother in the eye, talked about what my mother was interested in and, importantly, was able to communicate to her in Spanish, which is my mother’s preferred language. We really appreciate this service. It’s made a real difference. L.S. Client A lot of people like me are shut-ins who are depressed, lonely and live with health problems and need the services that St. Anthony’s provides. The C3 Program provides a trusting and helpful service that I really appreciate and can rely on. C.F. Client I really enjoy the visits from my Compassionate Care Companion. I found her to be caring, uplifting and really good at listening. She always tries to guide me in the right direction. With her help and my physical therapist my health has improved. She is so inspirational that I want to do what she does because I know how needed and empowering it is and I am experiencing the results!
